Defining how I will evaluate sources

This blog will be a place for reviewing various research sources, modern and historical. Each source reviewed will include what I rate it 1-10 on how it impacted my historical/ cultural view. Sources will vary in the impact they have on people based on a variety of factors. I will consider how much information given I already knew or if it changes my views on anything. Rating it a 10 would mean it had a profound impact on my viewpoint. Rating it a 1 would means I did not learn anything new in this source. This would be historically or culturally depending on how modern the source is. 

If I give a source a low rating I am not saying you shouldn't read it. A source that gives me nothing new, could completely change your perspective. A source that changes everything for me, could give you no new information.
